At Matchbox Motion, we’re a close-knit team of filmmakers, editors, and creatives with a shared passion for telling real stories through powerful video production. Based in Wateringbury, Maidstone, we work with businesses, artists, and individuals across Kent, the UK, and internationally—delivering professional videography, animation, and event filming services tailored to every client.

Meet The Team
Matthew Bolton
Director/Co-Founder
Matthew began his career producing music videos and live event content for local bands and artists. As Co-Founder and Director of Matchbox Motion, he now leads as Director of Photography, specialising in editing, animation, and live streaming. Matt’s technical expertise and eye for detail are behind some of our most dynamic shoots.
Lee
Bethell
Director/Co-Founder
Starting out as a self-shooting DOP for corporate video production, Lee brings experience in producing promotional and marketing videos for brands across the UK. As Matchbox’s lead editor and producer, he also oversees animation projects and camera work, ensuring each video reflects our creative standards.
Tom Webzell
Assistant Camera Op
& junior Editor
Tom is a key part of our camera and editing crew, bringing strong creative input and a growing portfolio. He regularly assists across shoots and has recently taken lead on our wedding videography service, delivering stunning visuals and heartfelt storytelling.
Thomas Richards
Photographer

Our Story
Founded in 2016, Matchbox Motion was created by Matthew and Lee after meeting at university and working together at a production company in Shoreditch, London. After gaining experience freelancing and collaborating on projects across the UK, they launched Matchbox to bring together their strengths in storytelling, tech, and production management.
